We have three Support Cabin Leaders. They assist the Cabin Leaders, maintain the equipment, teach trails and lead group sessions. They play a very important part in maintaining enthusiasm and camaraderie with students, staff, and teachers.
Cabin Leaders educations range from high school dipolmas through university degrees. They supervise groups of 8 to 11 students. They live in the cabins with the students, teach trails and activities, play games and lead songs. Cabin Leaders are kind and caring role models for their cabin groups. Students will remember their Cabin leader for years to come.
The Registered Nurse, Kelley Brunson lives on site. She tends to all student and staff medical needs. Parents, teachers, and administrators are notified in case a problem arises.
At SanGOSS all of our staff are CPR/First Aid trained. Extensive background checks are done. State and FBI records (fingerprinting/livescan) is mandatory along with random drug testing.
